Why use backings on your wood veneer, plywood, particle board or paper?
Backings strengthen your materials to make them more sturdy for easy handling.
Backings reinforce wood grains to make them more flexible, reducing the worry of damaging the wood.
Backings provide fair to good printability.
Flame resistance and water resistance versions are available.
Backings are pre-coated with a dry film adhesive and are heat activated.
Available in rolls or sheets.
Thickness ranges from .006" to .010".
Minimum glue line bonding temperatures from 180° F / 85° C to
290° F / 140° C, depending on backing product.
Estimated cost: $0.06 - $0.12 / square foot
